Pre Health Programs
90% ACCEPTANCE RATE INTO PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL
Medicine has been described as both an art and a science. The pre-health programs at UW-Parkside reflect this dual perspective. Upon graduation you will be very well prepared as demonstrated by the high success rate of UW-Parkside graduates in admission to professional schools. This success is due in part to a well-developed program of advising, which includes course selection, admission test preparation, application assistance, and practice interviews.
Because of the intensely competitive nature of pre-health fields, students with 30 or more credits must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 and above to be eligible for special advising. Students with GPA’s below 2.5 are counseled to re-evaluate their career plans and are referred to the academic department of their chosen major as well as the Career Center for advice.
