What Does AmeriCorps VISTA Offer?
What Does UW-Parkside Offer?
As of May 2015, the VISTA program revised its policy on outside employment to make VISTA service more accessible. You are now able to have employment outside of your VISTA position, as long as it does not interfere in any way with your project assignment.
This is huge for VISTA members! If you are relocating to the area and uncertain about cost of living and making it work on the living allowance, this gives you the option to make some extra money to support yourself in a new community.
