Hour of AI
Artificial intelligence is already shaping the way we work, learn, and live — from helping doctors make life-saving decisions to suggesting the music we listen to. Our learners are growing up in a world powered by AI, but many use it without understanding how it works or how to use it responsibly.
That’s why our school is participating in the Hour of AI, a free global initiative. Building on the worldwide success of the Hour of Code, this hands-on experience gives students the opportunity to:
● Learn what AI is – and what it isn’t
● Explore how AI works – through hands-on, interactive projects
● Create with AI – designing art, training simple AI models, and solving real-world challenges
● Discuss responsible use – understanding ethics, safety, and how AI impacts society
WHY IT MATTERS
● Empowers students to be creators, not just consumers
● Builds critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills
● Prepares them for a future where AI will be part of every industry
HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT IT AT HOME
● Ask your child what they learned and created during the Hour of AI.
● Encourage conversations about how AI affects daily life.
● Explore free AI learning resources together at HourofAI.org.
By taking part in the Hour of AI, students aren’t just learning about technology; they’re learning how to navigate and shape the future driven by AI.
