SAVE THE DATE: Master Plan - Campus Open House

Please SAVE THE DATE for Wednesday, February 12, 2014. We look forward to seeing you at the Campus Open House from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom.

The Master Planning and Student Success Project Feasibility Study processes are moving ahead on schedule for completion in October, 2014. In December, the consultants for the Student Success Project Feasibility Study (SSPFS) were on campus to discuss a few possible alternatives for the architectural approach for the Project. Based on these discussions, the consultants, Workshop Architects, will return to campus with some proposed approaches for the remodeling of Wyllie Hall to achieve the goals of the SSPFS.

Over the fall semester, the master planning consultants, SmithGroupJJR and Paulien & Associates, have analyzed the campus and interviewed dozens of campus leaders. They have determined future campus-wide space needs, mapped the campus's physical systems, and have prepared an opportunities map that will serve as the starting point for alternative scenario planning.

You are encouraged to attend the Campus Open House on February 12th, 2014 between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom. This will be an excellent opportunity to see what the consultants are recommending for the Student Success Project and get the latest information on the Campus Master Plan. The Campus Open House will have an informal format - come when you can between 5:00 and 6:00pm, speak directly to our consultants, and get your questions answered.

We also encourage you to participate in the Web-based portal to gather your feedback on the Campus Master Plan. Over 100 of UW-Parkside students, faculty, and staff are discussing the major issues related to the Student Success Project and Master Plan. The portal is available at:  http://masterplan.uwp.edu. It is easy to sign up, and your participation provides valuable feedback.
