Andrew Goodman FoundationKenosha, Wis. – Just in time for Thanksgiving, University of Wisconsin-Parkside Goodman Ambassadors will host a free Braver Angels workshop on Family and Politics. The workshop will be held in the Oak Room in the UW-Parkside Student Center on Tuesday, Nov. 14 from 6-8:30 p.m. Pizza will be provided. Please register by Nov. 10 at https://uwparkside.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9nNpt4zTbiZ1qBM. This event is presented by the Andrew Goodman Foundation and CUSH (Congregations United to Serve Humanity).

The workshop will provide attendees with a deeper understanding of why family differences over politics are uniquely challenging. It will also provide insight into common roles family members play when political conversations go badly as well as strategies and skills for dealing with family political differences in a constructive way.

Braver Angels is a citizens’ organization uniting red and blue Americans in a working alliance to depolarize America. The Families and Politics workshop will be facilitated by Cameron Swallow who is the Blue co-coordinator for Braver Angels in the state of Wisconsin. She has been moderating BA workshops since 2018 and is currently working with the Music Team for the national organization. She is from Tennessee originally and moved to Kenosha, WI, in 2017 when her husband became president of Carthage College.
