Rita Dazzles on 10th Anniversary

Audiences were treated to a spectacular visual and auditory event Sunday, April 24, for the 10th Anniversary of the Rita Tallent Picken Regional Center for the Arts and Humanities. Visitors wandered through open labs and studios like the Digital Fabrication Lab, Costume Shop, and Ranger Studio, where students create artistic endeavors ranging from Bluetooth® speakers to documentaries as part of their coursework. The day included a concert by Parkside Range, an art gallery reception for Together Again: Kenosha Racine, and theatre demonstrations for She Kills Monsters, which opens Friday, April 29. The Black Box Theatre hosted videos created by English students and videos created by Communication students were presented in the Foundation Gallery. Community members, young and old, enjoyed a day full of art, music, demonstrations, and video.
