Nonprofit Breakfast 2019: "Best to Date"

Focused on 50 Years of Powerful Partnerships, this year’s annual Nonprofit Breakfast on May 3rd attracted over 140 attendees, with over 75 local organizations represented. This year we were honored to welcome UW-Parkside’s second chancellor, Dr. Alan Guskin, who shared his insight on the bold beginnings of community engagement on campus.

Esther Letven, former Associate Vice Chancellor of Extended Services, led the group through an interactive session that explored the variety of campus-community partnerships, and the immense value these partnerships have added to both parties. Photos and compiled results can be found here.

Keynote speaker, Susan Dreyfus, President and CEO of Alliance for Strong Families and Communities, spoke of how community-based organizations (nonprofits) can work to overcome their stresses and obstacles through evidence-based success measurement, strategic partnerships, and dedicating resources to innovation.

We have already received a great deal of positive feedback on this year’s breakfast, with attendees calling the event “wonderful,” “outstanding,” and the “BEST nonprofit breakfast to date.”  We look forward to seeing everyone at next year’s breakfast!
