Guadalupe Rodríguez has taught foreign languages courses for many years. In her hometown in Mexico, she was a double major in English and French. After receiving bachelor's degrees in both disciplines, Guadalupe taught English as a second language. She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Marquette University, where she taught Introduction to Spanish courses. She is also a professional Educator, who received the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Teaching License for grades 6-12. In addition, Guadalupe has been certified as an American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Tester of Spanish with full certification to conduct and rate Oral Proficiency Interviews (OPI) from novice to superior levels. Therefore, her teaching methodology is oriented to oral proficiency, which she implements in all her language courses. She has taught for the University of Wisconsin-Parkside since 2001, where she is responsible for teaching all levels of Spanish. Guadalupe not only brings her mother tongue with her into the classroom, but also brings the Hispanic culture, which informs her teaching and enriches students' learning experience.
