Qian, an associate professor of department of business at University of Wisconsin Parkside, holds a Ph.D. from University of Louisville. Her research focuses on firm gestation, opportunity recognition and exploitation, and entrepreneurial decision making. Her secondary research interest is small business strategy.

Teaching Interests

Qian teaches principle of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial strategy, and entrepreneurship project to undergraduates, in addition to teaching strategic management at both undergraduate and MBA level.
