John Hagedorn, Ph.D. is a gang expert for Chicago and Milwaukee.  Hagedorn has written numerous books about gangs. His book, The In$ane Chicago Way, looks historically at gangs, organized crime, and corruption in Chicago. In his most recent book, Gangs on Trial: Challenging Stereotypes and Demonization in the Courts Hagedorn believes the accused should be convicted based on what they did, on the evidence, not on inflammatory labels of who they are said to be or because they are members of a despised group.
