A steady buzz around Tom Garling’s jazz writing has been building for 30 years. Since its inception in 2020, the Tom Garling Jazz Orchestra has been playing to packed houses around the Chicago area. His first compositions and arrangements were recorded and featured on Maynard Ferguson’s “One More Trip to Birdland” and “Brass Attitude” in the 1990’s, and since then, he has amassed a library of over 100 compositions, arrangements, and orchestrations.
