Position Title: Alumni Relations Manager
Employment Type: Full-time, Non-Instructional Academic Staff, Exempt
Reports To: The Alumni Relations Manager will report to the Director of Donor & Alumni Engagement.
Pay Range: $50,000-55,000
Essential Job Functions
The Alumni Relations Manager coordinates UW-Parkside’s efforts to engage with our more than 27,000 alumni, in order to build pride, support, and meaningful interaction with the university. The position develops relationships with individual alumni and affinity groups, executes marketing strategies for alumni programs, organizes events, and analyzes data to ensure alumni relations goals are being achieved.
Knowledge of UW-Parkside’s student experiences and alumni perspectives will benefit the individual in this position; UW-Parkside alumni and others who have an affinity for the university are encouraged to apply.
The Alumni Relations Manager collaborates with units across campus, and is a key member of the University Advancement team. University Advancement leads UW-Parkside’s development (fundraising), alumni relations, and strategic communications efforts.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Leads the development, production, and dissemination of communication and branding strategies and materials for the unit
- Plans and leads the implementation of major alumni events, volunteer committees, and activities in alignment with strategic initiatives and objectives
- Plans, directs, and executes alumni visits and discovery calls, passing leads to the appropriate major gift officers to cultivate relationships to assist in achieving established donor goals
- Serves as a unit liaison for internal and external stakeholders, answers questions, and provides information about established programs based on set material or standards
- Monitors, organizes, and updates donor records, and implements operating policies and procedures
- Identifies data trends, errors, and insufficient data; and reports variances according to established policies and procedures
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 or more years experience in education programming, alumni relations, communications/marketing, or a related field
Salary and Benefits
Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
