Essential Duties and Responsibilities

position will be expected to contribute service to UW-Parkside, the College of Social Sciences and Professional Studies (CSSPS), the Institute of Professional Educator Development, and the local and regional community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Teaching and Clinical Supervision (60%)
• Conducting clinical observations of teacher candidates in PK-12 classrooms
• Teaching courses, including, but not limited to:
• Math for Elementary/Middle School Teachers
• Teaching Developmental Mathematics, Grades K-3
• Teaching Developmental Mathematics, Grades 3-9
• Designing Learning Curriculum
• Creating Effective Learning Environments
• Scholarly Research (20%)
• Service (20%)
• Service to IPED, College of Social Sciences and Professional Studies (CSSPS), UW-Parkside, the profession, and the PK-12 community at state and national level

• Ergonomic Requirements: sufficient mobility and dexterity to move around office, campus and community. Ability to work with keyboard, mouse and monitor. Ability to attend meetings, workshops, seminars and conferences.
• Equipment to be used on the job: laptop and/or desktop computer, printer, copier, projector, tablets, Promethean Boards, Video Conferencing, Interactive Whiteboard Systems, Smart Boards, telephone including voice mail, and FAX

Education, Experience, Training And/or Certifications

Required

• Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction or related field in education with emphasis in math education. Applicants with 'all but dissertation' (ABD) will be considered; however, a Ph.D. or Ed.D. is required by the time of appointment.
• Ability to supervise and/or mentor teacher candidates
• Experience working with diverse student populations and a demonstrated commitment to the success of underrepresented minorities
• Knowledge of math education pedagogy and the integration of technology into teaching and learning
• A minimum of three years of successful teaching in K-12 settings, or equivalent as determined by the department
