The University of Wisconsin-Parkside invites applications for the position of Graduate Assistant - Strength & Conditioning.
To be eligible, prospective candidates must be accepted into one of the Master’s Degree programs at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
Essential Job Functions
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design sport performance programs for assigned teams
- Coaching Athletes on Strength, Speed and Conditioning
- Coverage of weight room facility
- Communication with sport coaches and sports medicine staff
- HESM teaching requirements
- 10 hours of S&C desk coverage during fall and spring semester
- 20 hours of desk coverage during non semester throughout the 10 month contract
Qualifications
Education, Experience, Training and/or Certifications
Required
- Bachelors Degree
- Must be SCCC or NSCA certified
- Strong work ethic, passion and a desire to become a Strength Coach
- Attention to detail
- High moral and integrity values
- Positive energy with good communication skills
Salary and Benefits
Commensurate depending on qualifications and experience.
