Position Title: Instructional Technology Specialist

Employment Type: Full time – Academic Staff

Reports To: The Instructional Technology Specialist II will report to Instructional Technology Manager.

Provides support to faculty and/or staff, programs, and work units in assessing, designing, implementing and converting courses and programs to innovative online and other technology­assisted educational venues to ensure the effectiveness and usability of a product for end user learners. This individual also trains staff and end users on instructional technology use in support of creating cutting-edge, creatively designed, course delivery options.


Essential Job Functions

Key Job Responsibilities

RESP 1: Designs, implements, and/or converts curriculums and assessment resources utilizing instructional technologies to advance the learning experience through various technological mediums

RESP 2: Applies adult learning theory and instructional design models in the selection and application of educational technology

RESP 3: Analyzes, tests, troubleshoots, resolves issues, and provides feedback regarding existing instructional technologies

RESP 4: Serves as a main point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding instructional technology, answers questions, and disseminates information to appropriate entities as needed

RESP 5: Trains staff and/or end users on technology resources

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors Degree

Experience 

  • LMS trouble shooting and content creation
  • Proctoring tool configuration and support
  • Training and supporting web conferencing platforms such as Webex, MS Teams, and Zoom
  • Video editing experience (i.e. experience with Adobe Premier and video creation)
