Pay Range: $26/hr

Reports To: The Power Plant Operator II will report to the Power Plant Superintendent
Pay Range: $28/hr
Essential Job Functions
UW-Parkside is seeking a Power Plant Operator I or Power Plant Operator II for the Heating and Chilling Plant on campus. The Heating & Chilling Plant provides steam and chilled water to campus buildings, which are inter-connected by a series of underground tunnels and conduits. Power Plant Operators are responsible for the operation and maintenance of the entire plant in a safe and efficient manner, assistance in emergency situations, emergency repairs, and performance of any other duties associated with the operation of a complex heating and chilling plant. Candidates will be chosen for the position that best fits their experience and qualifications.
Qualifications
Power Plant Operator I
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Training in heating, cooling and/or power plant operations, or related experience
- Obtain before completion of probation (12 month minimum) and maintain ASOPE Third Class Power Plant Operating Engineer License, or approved equivalent.
Power Plant Operator II
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Formalized training and/or >1 year experience in heating, cooling and/or power plant operations
- Currently possess and maintain ASOPE Third Class Power Plant Operating Engineer License, or approved equivalent
Salary and Benefits
Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
