40 Years Baking at Parkside

Joanne got her start at Parkside in the kitchen like many hopeful chefs, working the grill. After proving to her supervisors that she was ready and able to take on more work and responsibilities, she was offered a job baking. The staff was kind enough to send her to a cooking school in Appleton, WI to learn more about her craft and then to cake decorating classes to learn more detailed techniques.

Joanne says that her favorite thing to bake now is the breakfast pastries. When she isn't baking, she loves spending time with her niece's children and going to car shows with her husband. Her favorite part about working at Parkside is the friendliness of all the people there, especially her wonderful managers.
