First Community-Based Learning Scholarship Awarded

With the generosity of local philanthropist Len Iaquinta, a new $1,000 scholarship has been awarded by the Center for Community Partnerships (CCP) at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. The Community-Based Learning (CBL) scholarship is open to all UW-Parkside students who are pursuing a CBL Certificate. The 2013-2014 scholarship recipient is Dawn Kaiser, a junior at UW-Parkside majoring in Psychology. Dawn has provided great service to the Racine community, working at the Racine Literacy Council. She is excited to engage in other CBL projects as she works to complete her CBL Certificate. The CCP is now accepting applicants for the 2014-2015 scholarship. The deadline for new applicants is May 8th.

The Community Based Learning Scholarship is awarded annually to a student who is pursuing a CBL certificate. Other qualifications for the scholarship include: (1) Be in good academic standing (2) open to sophomore, junior and senior students with a (3) minimum GPA of 3.0.If you have any questions about the scholarship, or are interested in applying, contact Amanda DesLauriers at deslauri@uwp.edu or 262-595-2533.
