English Department Welcomes Assistant Professor of English

 In Fall 2013, the English Department welcomed Dr. Josef Benson as Assistant Professor of English, 20th/21st Century American Literature and Creative Writing - Poetry. Dr. Benson has a Ph.D. in English from the University of South Florida; his dissertation and scholarly research are on the issue of hypermasculinity in contemporary American literature. In addition to his Ph.D., Dr. Benson has a Master of Arts degree in English and Creative Writing from the University of South Florida, and has published poems, short stories, and creative nonfiction. He has taught at the University of South Florida, Hillsborough Community College, the Ohio State University, and in the English Language program at Wuhan University in China.
