Using social media to benefit your education
Last night, Parkside was lucky enough to be visited by guest speaker, Herbert Lowe. Lowe is in his fifth year as a journalism professional in residence at Marquette University. He specializes in teaching students how to use technology to benefit their lives and help them with the job market. Lowe stresses that students and teachers need to adapt to the changing world around us in order to be successful.
With his seminar titled, "Branding Me: Communication in the Age of Social Media," Lowe made an impact on many students at Parkside. He gave helpful tips on how to create a digital portfolio and use technology to our advantage when seeking jobs. We are so grateful that Herbert Lowe was able to share his knowledge and experience with us and really make a difference here at Parkside.
