China's One Child Policy

The University of Wisconsin-Parkside will host a public lecture on China’s One Child Policy on April 3, at 12:30 p.m. in Oak Room of the Student Center. The campus is located at 900 Wood Road, in the village of Somers.

The guest speaker, Dr. Fuxian Yi, is a senior scientist at UW-Madison. He has conducted extensive research on China’s One Child Policy since 2000 and published a very influential book “Big Country with an Empty Nest” which offers a critical look at China’s family planning policy.

His work was widely reported by many top media agencies including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, National Public Radio, and CNN, etc.
