GEMS explore math and science at UWP

More than middle school girls from Gilmore, Gifford, Jerstad-Agerholm, McKinley, Mitchell, Starbuck, and REAL schools in Racine were at UW-Parkside for the annual GEMS Conference (Girls Empowered by Math and Science). The day began with a welcome from UW-Parkside Chancellor Debbie Ford. Faculty and staff from UW-Parkside and Gateway Technical College along with community presenters lead science and math workshops throughout the day.
