Union Grove, Wilmot top Geography Bowl

For the past 26 years, high school students from around southeastern Wisconsin have come to UW-Parkside armed with as much geography knowledge as they can pack into the left and right sides of their brains.
The goal is to finish atop the standings in "Geography Bowl" sponsored each year by the Parkside Geography Department and directed by Professor Dr. Richard Walasek.
Sixteen teams from seven local high schools battled in Geography Bowl 2014, answering a variety of questions concerning the geography of the world.

In the 10th-grade division, Wilmot High School topped Racine Case High School.

In the 11th grade division, Jessi DeBrabander, Noah Lorey, Logan Essers, Hunter Wagner, and Beau Blake (photo left to right) from Union Grove High School took home top honors defeating Wilmot High School.
