Parkside Students Help Out in the Community

Nearly 170 University of Wisconsin-Parkside students and staff participated in the annual Make a Difference Day, Saturday, Oct. 22. The volunteers spread out to 17 different sites in the Kenosha and Racine area where they spent the morning doing a variety of outdoor tasks. 

With the weather getting colder, some volunteers found opportunities in weeding and getting gardens ready for the winter, while others spent the morning picking up trash. The work of the Parkside students and staff helped to make the community a better place and well prepared for the cold months ahead.
