UW-Parkside Chancellor Debbie Ford, Gilban Building Company Vice President Adam Jelen, Foxconn Director of US Strategic Initiatives Alan Yeung, and City of Racine Mayor Cory Mason discuss the impact of the Foxconn development during a Flash Forum hosted by the Milwaukee Business Journal.
As the makeup of the Foxconn workforce continues to evolve, Ford said higher education in southeastern Wisconsin must be more focused on science and technology programs. Foxconn currently estimates that close to 80 percent of employees will be engineers and development scientists.
