Stuff-A-Shirt for First Step!

Today at Parkside, we had the opportunity to make an impact on the lives at the First Step Services homeless shelter. From 10 am until 2 pm in the Walnut Room, students are stuffing backpacks and shirts with necessities and then writing a positive and meaningful note to insert in the bag as well.

Products ranging from clothing to hygiene are offered, as students walk past the stations, adding one item from each in order to stuff the bag. Many of the products have been donated by local establishments – such as numerous toothbrushes and toothpaste, to promote the volunteer effort.

If you have not stopped by the Walnut room yet, do so before 2 pm. First Step Services is an organization in Kenosha, and would love students’ support. Check out the details of this event and others, and be sure to lend a helping hand during the holidays, because our volunteerism at Parkside is Real Amazing!
