UW-Parkside Sustainable Management Programs ranked among top U.S. offerings
The University of Wisconsin-Parkside is ranked third in the U.S. by Great Value Colleges website in its 2017-2018 listing of affordable colleges offering online degrees for sustainability careers.
Professor of Geosciences Dr. John Skalbeck says UW-Parkside students benefit from quality academic programs that are accessible and affordable. “The online delivery allows students to gain knowledge from sustainability experts at UW-Parkside as well as our partner campuses,” said Skalbeck, who also serves as academic director for the UW-Parkside master of science in sustainable management. “UW-Parkside students know that the academic effort and financial resources applied to obtain this degree are a sound investment. This ranking provides confirmation.”
Great Value Colleges website selected schools by reviewing colleges and universities with quality online bachelor's degree programs, and then narrowed the list to those with the most affordable net costs, as reported by the National Center for Education Statistics. In the announcement to UW-Parkside officials, Great Value Colleges website also noted the opportunity for UW-Parkside students to advance toward a master of science in sustainable management.
Skalbeck says global recognition of the University of Wisconsin is a key element to the degree program. In addition, UW-Extension Continuing Education, Outreach & E-Learning provides quality instructional design for a curriculum that is continually assessed and revised. “This program benefits from the expertise of an industry advisory board that provides input and feedback on how the curriculum aligns with the changing business environment,” Skalbeck said.
UW-Parkside is ranked ahead of notable programs at the University of Florida, Arizona State University, Penn State World Campus, the University of Denver, and Southern New Hampshire University.
