UW-Parkside to stage Greek comedy

SOMERS — The University of Wisconsin-Parkside Theater Department will present "A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum" April 28-May 6 in the UW-Parkside Picken Center, 900 Wood Road.

The play takes the audience back to the time-tested, 2,000-year-old comedies by the Roman playwright Plautus. The result is a nonstop, laugh-fest in which a crafty slave, Pseudolus, schemes to win his freedom by helping his young master win the beautiful courtesan who is betrothed to the mighty soldier Miles Gloriosus.
