- About Us
Through the generosity of Emeritus Professor, Frances E. Bedford, our students and community have a beautiful space dedicated solely to music performances.
Join Professor Bedford in supporting the gift of music for our students and our community by naming a seat in the acoustically impeccable Frances Bedford Concert Hall. When you name a chair in the Bedford Concert Hall, you have a direct role in assuring the artistic passion you've experienced through our performances will continue to inspire and entertain audiences and our community for years to come.
All available seats, regardless of location, may be named with a minimum gift of $300 each, made payable in two installments if you wish. A plaque will be permanently affixed to the armrest of your concert hall seat.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to celebrate:
Be serious or poetic, sentimental or clever. Just be sure to act now as this is a unique opportunity to be a part of UW-Parkside history.
Plaques are ¾" by 2 ½" and are limited to 3 lines, with 17 characters per line, including spaces and punctuation. Text will be centered.
Do I still need to purchase a ticket for a future performance if I've named a chair?
Yes, seat sponsors must still purchase tickets to any performance in the concert hall.
Can I sit in my chair at future performances?
You may sit in your chair if it's available; however, seat name recognition does not guarantee that particular seat for future performances.
Can I pick out the location of my chair?
Plaques will begin on the center section row 1 and proceed to the back of the house with the stage right seating and stage left seating to follow in the same manner. Every attempt will be made to place a plaque on a seat of your choosing should it remain available.
When will my plaque be installed?
Plaques will be affixed to chairs within one academic semester. If your gift is made in two installments, your plaque will be installed once your pledge is complete.
