Focus on developing the strategic skills necessary to meet the changing demands of today’s seniors and contemporary senior living care models. The Senior Living and Services Leadership graduate certificate will focus on senior care and services delivery including:

  • Gerontology
  • Ethical, legal and regulatory factors
  • Generational dynamics
  • Healthcare financial management
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Healthcare human resource strategies

It is possible to complete the certificate in one year; however, based on work and life commitments, you may decide to take longer. Courses are completed entirely online, an ideal format for busy professionals, especially those working variable shifts. You can watch lectures, participate in online forums with your classmates, and although assignments have deadlines, you can do homework whenever it’s convenient for you—all course content is accessible online from any device.

The graduate-level Senior Living and Services Leadership Certificate is offered through the Master of Science in Healthcare Administration program, through a collaboration with UW System.
