Career Launch - Power Up Your Career Plan
Wednesday, February 26, 11am-1pm in The Commons, Wyllie D-1
This is a one-stop career and professional development event to help ALL students with their career plans.
Students can sign-up for a time to participate in a practice or “mock” job interview with an employer who will provide feedback on how they did and offer tips and suggestions on improving their interview skills.
Students can sign-up for a time to meet with an employer to have their resumes reviewed to make sure their resume is professional and up to the standard of what employers today look for. They will also be given suggestions on how to improve their resumes.
Students can also visit any of these career stations between 11am-1pm to get help:

Spring Internship & Career Fair
More than 75 employers are recruiting for internships and full-time post-graduation jobs, and are excited to meet you in person! This fair will occur at Carthage College in Kenosha on March 5 from 2:00-5:00 pm. It is open to students from Carthage, UW-Parkside, Gateway Technical College, Herzing University, and colleges in the Higher Educational Regional Alliance, HERA.
Once you register, view the list of employer attendees and go to their website to learn more about these organizations. Make a list of employers you want to visit on the day of the fair, and write down questions for each one. Students who prepare ahead of time this way have a better chance of getting hired.
Be sure you create or update your professional resume and have it reviewed by someone at your college (an academic advisor or career center representative is best).
Come professionally dressed on the day of the fair with copies of your resume.
