Three students in the Practicum in Organizational Communication class (COMM 480) gave a Real.Amazing workshop about the basics of branding for your business!

Communication majors Sara Strauss, Simon Owczarek, and David Byrd worked together to create a presentation about branding for their class. They opened the workshop to any students on campus who have or want to have their own business so they can educate them about branding. There was a great turn out of students and everyone seemed to learn a lot from the hands-on experience.

The presentation examined popular brands such as Nike and Kelloggs and explained how the brands are marketed so well. The group talked about the logos, slogans, colors, and target audience of the product and showed everyone why things did and didn't work for branding purposes. Then, the group used an activity to help students create ways to market their own businesses.

The presentation was a huge success and a great experience for everyone involved!
