The Criminal Justice Department Announces New Faculty

Dr. Tiffiney Cottledge is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice, teaching CRMJ 101 Introduction to Criminal Justice, CRMJ 200 Criminal Justice Research Methods, CRMJ 362 Community Corrections and CRMJ 365 Race, Crime, Law. Dr. Cottledge joins us from the University of Houston Clear Lake.  She received her B.S. in Criminal Justice, her M.A. in Counseling and Ph.D. in Juvenile Justice from Prairie View A&M University. She began her career as a state parole officer with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Parole Division. In addition to her recently published textbook Delinquency in America her research areas are female gangs, adolescent substance abuse and juvenile sex offenders.

 
Dr. Philip Wagner is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice, teaching CRMJ 101 Introduction to Criminal Justice and CRMJ 388 Comparative &International Criminal Justice Systems. Dr. Wagner joins us from Fairmont State University in West Virginia where he received his B.S. and M.S. in Criminal Justice. He has a Ph.D. in Criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He has volunteered in probation and prison settings and maintains research interests in the intersection of media and crime for example, use of the internet in public shaming and vigilantism.
