The UW-Parkside Music Department and College of Arts and Humanities Presents Mariachi Sirenas
SOMERS - UW-Parkside's Free Noon Concert Series offers the campus community a chance to listen to talented, engaging performers every Friday at noon in Bedford Concert Hall for absolutely free! The fall 2019 semester features an impressive lineup of master musicians, including Mariachi Sirenas, who will be coming to The Rita on Friday, October 11.
Mariachi Sirenas is honored to represent the genre of Mariachi music in the windy city. As Chicago's First All Female Mariachi, we hope to plant a seed that will soon blossom into a community of strong women that work together to promote the folkloric arts of Latin America.
This performance is sponored by UW-Parkside associate professor emeritus or psychology David Breach and Carmen Rigau. Breach and Rigau are active community volunteers and are among UW-Parkside's most dedicated music supporters. In addition to frequently attending concerts on campus, Beach and Rigau provide funding for UW-Parkside's music library and have sponsored multiple guest artists to provide master classes and concerts.
Parking for the Noon Concert Series is free in Lot B or C, in any unmarked, unmetered parking space. For more information, contact the Rita Box Office at 262-595-2564. Click the link below for more information:
