On Friday November 21, the LGBTQ Resource center will be celebrating its 7th annual Queer Thanksgiving. Queer Thanksgiving began as a way for members of Parkside’s LGBTQ community to come together to enjoy food, give thanks, and support each other. The goal was to create a safe, inclusive environment for those who may not have been able to celebrate the holiday with their families. What began as only a handful of people has since expanded to around 40-50 attendees. It's open to anyone: students, staff, faculty, community members, and their families, and will take place at the First United Methodist Church in Racine on Friday November 21, at 6pm. Those looking to attend should contact the LGBTQ Resource Center.
