Celebrating Queer Thanksgiving

On Friday November 21, the LGBTQ Resource center will be celebrating its 7th annual Queer Thanksgiving. Queer Thanksgiving began as a way for members of Parkside’s LGBTQ community to come together to enjoy food, give thanks, and support each other. The goal was to create a safe, inclusive environment for those who may not have been able to celebrate the holiday with their families. What began as only a handful of people has since expanded to around 40-50 attendees. It's open to anyone: students, staff, faculty, community members, and their families, and will take place at the First United Methodist Church in Racine on Friday November 21, at 6pm.
