Working with the Parkside Website

The Parkside website (www.uwp.edu) is available for the public presentation of university content. Users can edit their area's web content after completing training on using our CMS (CommonSpot) and becoming an author.

Each area of the website is assigned a specialist from University Marketing. The Marketing Coordinator for your area can help you with your site's content and strategy, making sure it's presented in its best light. If you're unsure who is assigned to your department, you can find a list detailing everyone in University Marketing.

Website Maintenance

General server maintenance takes place weekly on Wednesday or Friday evenings. Maintenance of note includes, specifically, Windows updates to production servers at the end of each month which may amount to minimal website down time.

The development server is used for training and is periodically refreshed to keep it current. When refreshed, any data altered in the CMS will be lost when overwritten by a live copy of the website.

Matthew Goetsch | Webmaster
Matt gives training and manages the technical aspects of the website. Please contact your assigned Marketing team member for all of your web content and strategy needs. They will be able to discern if something requires the attention of the webmaster.
