Digital Displays - INDOOR

The indoor digital (Scala) display screens are a great resource for communicating with our students and prospective students. However, without guidelines it is possible for unfair usage. Below are some common-sense guidelines to help ensure harmonious usage, brand compliance, and best practices.

The primary audiences are current and potential students.

Priorities for message posting:

  • Enrollment in academic programs and courses.
  • University events and non-academic programs.
  • Special recognition and congratulations.

The timing for the display of a slide is 7 seconds. This timing is set by default and should not be changed. For more guidelines, see Scala Guidelines.

The digital display boards are not to be used for commercial purposes.

Digital Display - OUTDOOR

The digital display on the corner of Highways E and 31 is a great resource for UW-Parkside. It provides the opportunity to recruit students and to announce events open to the community. If you have an event that you would like advertised, please provide the requested information.

The primary audience is the general public. Students, faculty, and staff are targeted for certain messages although their primary source of information is generally on campus by other means of campus news and events.

Priorities for message posting:

  • Enrollment in academic programs and courses.
  • University events and non-academic programs.
  • Special recognition and congratulations.

Typically, the message cycle contains five to seven messages, each displayed every six seconds. Messages are limited to approximately seven words or less. For promotional events, the timing of messages shall depend on the magnitude of the event and the timing of such needs as ticket purchases. Examples of this include Parkside theatre productions, admissions events, and the Foreign Film Series.

The digital display board is not to be used for commercial purposes.
