Artificial intelligence is the new buzzword in education and the workforce. How can we embrace this new technology to provide opportunities for ourselves and our students that were not possible before? In these sessions, participants will gain an understanding of AI and how to effectively use artificial intelligence to enhance teaching and learning. All participants will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of AI tools and be given time to explore and practice. The future is WOW!

LEARING OUTCOMES

  • Participants will be able to explain the basic concepts and principles of artificial intelligence and how it can be applied to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Participants will be able to select and use appropriate artificial intelligence tools and platforms to support their instructional design, delivery, assessment, and assist with everyday tasks.
  • Participants will be able to explore AI applications and tools that students can utilize to enhance their learning and produce multimodal projects.
  • Participants will be able to leverage AI resources that can be shared with colleagues to in order to provide valuable professional development on the use of AI in their grade-levels, schools, and districts
  • Participants will be able to reflect on their own learning process and outcomes and provide feedback to improve the quality and effectiveness of artificial intelligence for teaching and learning.

INSTRUCTOR BIO

Sharon Daly is a veteran educator who values leveraging technology to enhance teaching and learning. She has presented sessions at numerous conferences on the topics of Artificial Intelligence, Joyful Learning, The Power of Poetry, Design Principles for Teaching and Learning, and Writing Across the Curriculum. She holds a special administrative license for Advanced Learning Coordinator, and also for teaching deaf and hard of hearing students. She teaches online courses for middle school students through the Center for Advanced Academics and is a published poet and member of the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets and the Greater Madison Writing Project.
