Guaranteed Admission for high school students
Qualified high school students who have taken UW-Parkside college courses while in high school will now receive guaranteed admissions to the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Guaranteed admissions eliminates students from needing to reapply and allows easy transition from high school to college. Due to students already taking college courses and having credits from UW-Parkside they will be ahead of the game with a high probability of graduating or even graduating early, saving time and money. Students that earn college credits in high school are more likely to continue their education to earn a degree, certificate, or specialized training to begin their career sooner.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of two or more UW-Parkside courses, taken while in high school;
- A cumulative GPA of 2.33 or higher for UW-Parkside. college coursework;
- A cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 2.0 or higher;
- Completion of an admissions application and submission of all required documents by published deadlines.
Special Note: Students in the RUSD Education Pathway or the KUSD Educator Rising program can apply one Carthage College course to the two UW-Parkside course requirement. Students should submit their Carthage College transcript as part of their UW-Parkside Admission application.
