Dr. Gregg Nominated for APA Award
With the help of former students, Assistant Professor of Cognitive Psychology Dr. Melissa Gregg was nominated for the American Psychological Association Distinguished Scientific Award for Early Career Contribution to Psychology.
The
recipients will be announced in 2017. UW-Parkside graduates Samantha
Noll, Michele Gloede, and Victoria Ferstein assisted in the research of "Experience
and Information Loss in Auditory and Visual Memory." Dr. Gregg had joined
some of her students as they traveled to present their research around the
country. Noll and Gloede visited Boston in November 2016 to present their
research at the annual meeting of the psychonomic society. Shortly after,
Ferstein and Gloede made a trip to Chicago where they presented at the
Midwestern Psychological Association conference in May 2016. Several of Dr. Gregg's
students had accomplished research near campus as well, which was presented at
the UW Symposium for Undergraduate Research.
