Tell us about you and your experience at Parkside.  

I am involved as a Parkside Student Government leader and also work as a Campus Ambassador in the Admissions Office. I chose Communication because I want to strengthen my leadership skills, improve my critical thinking, and become a more effective communicator. I chose Parkside because of the strong sense of community, leadership opportunities, and knowledgeable professors. My goal is to help people, give back to our community, and make a positive impact. 

What impact has your scholarship had on you?

My scholarship has had a positive impact on me. It has allowed me to focus more on my education and dedicate more time to studying. It has also motivated me to continue working hard and taking full advantage of every opportunity. I am very grateful for this scholarship.

What is a specific goal that felt "out of reach" last year but feels achievable today because of the scholarship you received?

Being able to fully focus on my education while staying actively involved in leadership roles. This scholarship has given me the opportunity to stay committed to both and continue working toward my academic and career goals.
