Parkside Day turned 5!
Thank you! Parkside Day 2023 was one to remember - breaking all Parkside Day records! This year, 1,946 people came together to raise a record $220,046 from 1,139 donors!
Gifts to Parkside Day benefit scholarships, athletics, and student programs at UW-Parkside, providing vital support as UW-Parkside works to prepare more students for graduation and successful futures. We’re grateful to the community of donors and supporters who made the day such a success and – more importantly – are making a significant impact for students!

Giving Back Gives Back
**CHALLENGE UNLOCKED: $3,000 to the Future Focus Fund**
Let’s reach our goal of 300 volunteers! For every 100 volunteers who participate in Rangers Give Back (volunteering through Parkside-organized events or on their own), the UW-Parkside Foundation Board will donate $1,000 to the Future Focus Fund, up to $3,000.
**CONGRATULATIONS to Athletics Ranger Impact Fund, Wrestling, and Men's Soccer for winning this challenge**
The top 3 university departments or student organizations that have the most people donate blood on their behalf at the April 25th blood drive will receive funds in support of the scholarship or program of their choice!

8-10 AM
**CHALLENGE UNLOCKED: $3,685 to the Future Focus Fund**
Welcome to Parkside Day morning! Presenting Sponsor HARIBO of America will match gifts to the Future Focus Fund 8-10 am. The Future Focus Fund reduces student loan debt and helps UW-Parkside students reach their goal of graduating with a college degree.
12-1 PM
**CHALLENGE UNLOCKED: $2,535 to scholarships**
Calling all alumni to make an impact on student success through scholarships. During this power hour, the UW-Parkside Foundation Board will match the first $5,000 of alumni gifts to the scholarship of their choice. (Limit $1,000 match per alum – let’s spread the love!)

**CHALLENGE UNLOCKED: $10,000 to the Future Focus Fund ($100 for every gift made during this challenge)**
HARIBO of America will announce a special challenge during the Ranger Reunion. Don’t miss out – join us in person or tune in for our announcement!

**CONGRATULATIONS to our teams! Many teams met their donor goals, and Wrestling unlocked bonuses for the most donors and the most dollars raised!**
In recognition of HARIBO of America's partnership with Parkside Athletics, HARIBO will provide bonus funds for the Athletics teams that meet their donor goals: 25 donors to a team unlocks $250, and 50 donors to a team unlocks an additional $250. HARIBO will also provide a $1,000 bonus to the team that raises the most dollars, and a $1,000 bonus to the team with the most donors.
Join us for the Parkside Athletics Power Hour sponsored by Educators Credit Union, 8-9 pm, and help your favorite team cross the finish line to victory.

**CHALLENGE UNLOCKED: $5,000 to the Future Focus Fund by 117 G.O.L.D. Donors**
Goldbears and G.O.L.D. Rangers, a sweet combination! For 50 donors from graduating classes 2012-2022, HARIBO of America will unlock $2,500 for the Future Focus Fund. Get to 100 G.O.L.D. donors and HARIBO will unlock an additional $2,500 for the Future Focus Fund.
Individual Challenges and Matches
**21 donors gave $29,115 dollars in support of matching gifts and motivational challenges throughout the day.**

Nichole Miller Gives Back Her Way for Parkside Day
UW-Parkside and Versiti Partner to Host First Ever Parkside Day Blood Drive
The University of Wisconsin-Parkside will host its annual Parkside Day event on April 26, with virtual and in-person opportunities for the community to engage, support the university, and give back to the community in the days leading up to it. Whether one volunteers their time or supports something they care about monetarily, every act and gift is valuable and a difference maker. For UW-Parkside alumna Nichole Miller, her way of giving back is near and dear to her heart: a blood drive. The Parkside Day blood drive, hosted by Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin, will take place in the De Simone Arena on Tuesday, April 25 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

As we celebrate HARIBO of America as the Parkside Day presenting sponsor, we also celebrate Toni Hansen as a UW-Parkside Distinguished Alum.
Parkside Profile: Harpreet Rooprai '21
Through his undergraduate career and now as a MBA student, Harpreet is involved across campus, making the most of every opportunity presented to UW-Parkside students. His experiences recently also earned him an internship with Snap-on Incorporated in Kenosha.
UW-Parkside Hosts 5th Annual Parkside Day
The University of Wisconsin-Parkside is pleased to announce the 5th annual Parkside Day, presented by HARIBO of America, on April 26. Students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members are invited to take part in this day of service, celebration, and giving in support of UW-Parkside. There will be a variety of activities and opportunities to get involved during the week of April 23.
