Registering for classes

Once you are academically admitted, you will work with your Advisor to register for courses.

Course options can be selected from the Course Schedule. International students are allowed only one online course to count towards their full-time status each semester (although new Covid regulations are now in effect).

For degree-seeking undergraduates: Undergraduate students participate in an undergraduate orientation program which includes advisory services that will help with course registration. A second international orientation program takes place directly before the start of a new term. Please note, your course schedule cannot be finalized until you complete the University placement test administered after your arrival.

For exchange students: We hope that you will be able to identify courses that will fit into your home academic program. For upper level courses, you may be asked to provide previous course information to ensure you are academically prepared. A special “permission number” may be required to enroll in some courses.

Exchange students complete an online orientation program once they are admitted to the University. A second international orientation program takes place directly before the new term.

For graduate students: Graduate students work with the Academic Advisor in the College to register for coursework. Incoming graduate students complete an online orientation session once they are admitted. A second international orientation program takes place directly before the new term.
