CNHS Events

Parkside's College of Natural and Health Sciences has several opportunities for you to explore and learn.  Science Night has been offered for over 15 years, and explores a vast array of subjects such as "Fun with Fluids" for younger ages to helicopter parenting for adult in the community. We also offer school field trip events with many of the high schools in the area. You may remember visiting while you were in high school, or your child may have shared their experience with you.

Everyone is welcome to join us for our annual community dinner sponsored by the CNHS advisory board. You will be able to meet our student researchers, alumni and other community members with a passion for science.

THE WORK

TUE NOV 12  |  6-8:30 PM  |  STUDENT CENTER CINEMA

Set inside a single room in California’s Folsom Prison, THE WORK follows three men from outside as they participate in a four-day group therapy retreat with level-four convicts. The raw and revealing process that the incarcerated men undertake exceeds the expectations of the free men, ripping them out of their comfort zones and forcing them to see themselves and the prisoners in unexpected ways.

See an incredible film and stay for a discussion hosted by The Wisconsin Truth Project which will highlight work being done in the Racine Correctional Institution.

Everyone is welcome to this free event, supported by the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program, Psychology Department and The Wisconsin Truth Project. Free Parking.
