Remembering UW-Parkside

Why did you decide to attend UW-Parkside?

I was a military child and had traveled and lived abroad. I decided to stay in the town where I went to high school to feel a sense of stability and have more than 4 years with friends. (In the military you move every 3-4 years)

Favorite UW-Parkside memory?

Some of my favorite moments are when there were large events such as the duct tape fashion show and the dances.

How did your UW-Parkside experience impact your professional or personal life?

It helped me discover what I needed to work on to be a better version of myself. In college, my mental health concerns were heightened. But I mean adulting is hard, right? I would give anything to tell 16-year-old Shani to stop wanting to be grown!

How have you been involved with UW-Parkside post-graduation?

Shani Chan Fireside Chat will be my first event and I am stoked!!!
