Dialogic Matters: Social and Material Challenges for Dialogue in 21st Century

The deadline for submission to IADA 2019 has been extended to March 15, 2019, at 23:59 Central Standard Time (GMT +5). Notification of acceptance is in March 2019.

EXTENDED ABSTRACT CRITERIA

Extended abstracts for presentations are limited to 1000-1500 words in length. Extended abstracts should clearly indicate: the specific phenomenon the contribution focuses on; the theoretical framework, the research method(s), the empirical bases of the study or the empirical illustration of the theoretical point(s).

Extended abstracts should be submitted as Word files (.doc or .docx) attached to a separate cover sheet file (see the instructions, below). Any Table or Figure should be inserted in the main document.

Each submission should also provide the following information at the end of the abstract:

  1. 5-7 keywords of your study; and
  2. specify one to two subthemes to which your extended abstract most fits (applying descriptive methods to dialogue; relational ontology; dialogue and othering; dialogue and power; case studies; materiality, space, and place; dialogue in and about crisis; dialogue, learning, and transformation)

Reviewing will be double-blind. In the main document, authors must make a good faith effort to anonymize their submissions, and they should not identify themselves either explicitly or by implication (e.g., through the references or acknowledgments). Any citation style is permitted (e.g., MLA, APA, Chicago).

An author can submit up to a maximum of two extended abstracts where she or he is the first (or single) author.

An author is welcome to submit more than two extended abstracts as second/third author.
