Professional Collaboration with The Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, BUS STOP, 2012
"In the summer of 2008, UW-Parkside and the Milwaukee Chamber Theatre began discussions about doing a joint production. Three and half years later, in the spring of 2012, BUS STOP opened at the Cabot Theatre in Milwaukee to great success. Parkside Theatre Arts and MTC worked together artistically and administratively to produce a beautiful and successful co-production in which UWP students and staff performed alongside Milwaukee professionals. Student participated as Actors, Understudies, Designers, Assistant Directors, and Assistant Stage Managers. The performers included Annie Walaszek as Cherie, Ethan Hall as Bo, and Brenna Kempf as Elma. UWP Faculty included the behind the scenes skills of Lisa Kornetsky (director), Keith Harris (scenic design), Misti Bradford (costume design) and Skelly Warren (lighting design), as well as Jamie Cheatham on stage as Dr. Lyman. The production also involved two UWP Theatre Arts Alumni, Karl Gfall (as Virgil understudy) and Phil Wooding (sound design). The show was not only well received but considered one of the highlights of the Milwaukee Theatre Season.
