Campus Master Plan Update Process

UW-Parkside, 2033

What will UW-Parkside look like in 2033? That’s the question our planning team (see links below) will be helping us answer during the Campus Master Plan update that commences Oct. 14 - 16 with the consultants’ first campus visit. It has been over a decade since UW-Parkside conducted a thorough space needs assessment, and eight years since the campus last initiated a Campus Master Plan update.

The current plan, completed in August 2006, guided the expansion of the Student Center, Pike River Suites, the Rita Tallent Picken Regional Center for Arts and Humanities, and many changes to campus parking and roadways. In guiding growth, campus master plans ensure that the campus retains its unique character and identity, preserves important environmental assets whenever possible, identifies the construction projects necessary to support the campus’ strategic and academic plans, and constructs new buildings that complement the architecture of the original buildings from the late 1960s and early 1970s.

As part of the Master Plan project, the consulting team will also help us further develop our vision of a "Student Success" remodeling project in Wyllie Hall. There will be many opportunities for campus community input throughout the process. Please check this website often to follow our progress.
