Bike Patrol
The UW-Parkside University Police Bike Patrol Unit was established in 1995. In addition to the academic buildings, the nearly 700-acre UW-Parkside campus is an ecological showplace of mature oak and maple forests, restored prairies, waterways and wildlife habitats. The campus also has a national cross country course. Bike patrols allows an officer to quickly and efficiently patrol and respond to areas of campus that are inaccessible to vehicles or impractical for foot patrols.
Bike Patrols are also helpful at large events such as fairs and sporting events. Bike Patrol is a visible and approachable means of patrol which encourages communication and cooperation with the UW-Parkside community in the prevention and detection of crime.
