Position Location: Southeastern, WI
The University of Wisconsin Parkside invites applicants for two (2) Tenure-Track Assistant Professor positions in Sport Management within our Health, Exercise Science and Sport Management department in the College of Natural and Health Sciences.
The start date is August 24, 2015.

Earned terminal degree (Ph.D., Ed.D. or J.D.) with specialization in the sport management field, required by the time of appointment. All But Dissertation (ABD) status candidates will be considered for a one-year appointment to a Lecturer position with potential conversion to a tenure-track Assistant Professor position possible if the terminal degree is completed by June 1, 2016.

Demonstrated ability to teach a variety of courses as assigned by the HESM Department in the sport management field. Courses that will be taught by these two positions include: Introduction to Exercise Science and Sport Management, Advanced Sport Management, Ethics and Issues in Sport Management, Legal Issues in Sport and Fitness Management, Sports Industry Regulation, Sport in Society, Event Management, and Facility Development and Management.

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain an active service agenda in the department, campus, community and profession.

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain an active research agenda.

Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, maintaining high expectations of undergraduate education and developing student professionalism.

Evidence of ability to teach additional courses related to sport management field, including Sports Media and Public Relations, Sport Sales and Customer Service, Athletic Fundraising and Senior Seminar in Sport Management.

Evidence of ability to develop potential fieldwork (internship) placement sites.

Experience in advising undergraduate students in sport management or a related field of study.

Evidence of ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.

Experience in the sports industry
